Mission Statement
ComputerDrive.org's mission is to address the rising problems caused by and associated with the Digital Divide. We believe that providing the impoverished and less fortunate with technology is integral to their success in life. The job market today makes heavy of use Information Technology, and it is near impossible to attain a sustainable position without having access to and understanding how to use computers, computer software, and the Internet. Many jobs today even require that applications be filed through the Internet, or at the very least expect a computer printed copy of a Résumé. ComputerDrive.org aims to address these issues in two ways:
  1. Create Community Technology Centers in existing channels
  2. Give directly to families in need
By addressing the problems of access, the major component of the Digital Divide is abolished. From this point, ComputerDrive.org can provide end users with free documentation in the public domain, and teach them basic skills from "What is a Window?" to advanced office software utilization. ComputerDrive.org firmly believes that this technological social advocacy will provide for a better future.
